It’s true you do not need newclevelandradio.net or any other internet radio network to be a podcaster or a live broadcaster.  Today, just about anyone can be a newscaster, an interviewer, DJ, Host, etc with internet access, the correct software, and “legal” licenses.  True, you can attempt to broadcast music without the license but WE would not recommend it because you might get fined and that could lead to hefty expenses and even time in the clink!

newclevelandradio.net offers you the host to be an independent broadcaster in a clean and organized space with free parking.  The business is incorporated an insured.  The building that our studio is located in is well maintained, well lite, and the other tenants are friendly and accommodating as is the landlord, Larry.  Alex Hale the owner of newclevelandradio.net lives within 5 miles of the studio and is available to assist in the studio 24/7.

Although Alex is the owner and host-producer of AFTER FURTHER REVIEW, Karen Hale is the office manager, sales manager and host-producer of a variety of non-sports related shows.  All business decisions are made by the sole owner, Alex Hale, and discussed with his current show hosts, all of whom are independent providers*.

Independent providers either pay for their shows or have sponsors that pay for their broadcast time.  A host can independently earn money from his or her show as a 1099 contractor once their show fees are covered by the sponsorship*.  The setup for hiring and payment for shows at newclevelandradio.net is similar as other local internet radio studios and we do not plan to change the system that works.

It is our mission to bring a venue to our listeners of sports, talk, awareness, and music that they deserve and want to hear.  While doing this we are providing a platform for individuals like Alex to live out their dreams and share their passion in an environment that encourages and supports them through networking to build an audience*.

As we post this today, October 20th, 2017 we are just about to complete our 5th month in business.  We have not been in business as newclevelandradio.net six months, as we opened our doors on June 1st.  Alex has worked at several stations and paid his dues with sponsors and we both podcasted independently purchasing equipment and networking solely and working an uphill battle.  We believe we have found the formula and networking at a slow pace is the answer.

We are proud to announce that in October 2017 we have partnered with NE Ohio Parent Magazine.  As more information is available, Brad Mitchell and his team will present this to you, their audience, in the weeks ahead.  We welcome them to our home and we hope they will enjoy the accommodations for many years to come.

We are all human and being human means we make mistakes in our journey.  My mother and father taught me to learn from my mistakes, admit to my errors and correct them!  I like many others have made my share of mistakes and I own up to them while acknowledging how I need to improve myself.  I have taught my sons the same lessons and they have struggled with the same life lessons, but they are achieving independent of me.

However, “life is like an elevator an on the way up sometimes you, have to stop to let someone off.”

Welcome to more changes at newclevelandradio.net.  The grass is not growing under our feet and we are expanding.  Last week Alex and I met with John Girard the director at the Ohio Media School.  Alex and I have known John for a number of years as Mr. Girard as I called him then was my director at the college at which I was working at the time and where Alex was attending college.  Fast forward to today and our continued relationship, friendship and networking have brought us to a partnership that we believe will benefit OMS as well as newclevelandradio.net.

We want to grow, but we also want to help others along the way as we continue to learn and not become stuck in our ways of thinking and doing like so many before us.  When Alex chose to become an owner of an internet radio station as well as venture into Youtube gaming as well as producing a documentary (more on that at another time,) he decided to want to provide opportunities to others that were never offered to him.  He never expected to be handed a silver spoon, although he would have welcomed a tarnished one that he could have polished and brought out the brilliance.  In fact, he has done that and some of the very best here in Cleveland have applauded him just as quickly as they have walked away saying he would never succeed.  Well, success is a personal measurement and newclevelandradio.net is measuring success through your eyes and your worth.

We are looking forward to working with the interns, the staff and the future of the untapped talent at the Ohio School of Media.  At the end of the day, we will make a difference we will bring you the listener what you deserve to hear.

We are not just Cleveland!

It doesn’t feel like FALL, and although the colors are changing and the leaves may be dropping off the trees, we here at newclevelandradio.net are growing and spreading our wings.  Newclevelandradio.net is emerging as an internet radio station that is offering the listener what they deserve to hear and through our partnerships and sponsors we are growing and we will continue to expand and experience new boundaries.  We are listening and we hear you! 

In October we are welcoming NE Ohio Parent Magazine who will be recording and broadcasting their podcasts through the newclevelandradio.net studios.  This is an excellent partnership as their messaging is in alignment with sharing awareness with you our listeners.  In addition, to NE Ohio Parent Magazine, my very good friend Terry Tierny, mother and grandmother extraordinaire will be co-hosting a show with me on Tuesday’s for parents and grandparents who have the life-long responsibility of raising a child(ren) with special needs.  The theme is, “When is it my turn?” These parents and grandparents are your family members and they are in desperate need of awareness as well as respite.

October begins Alex’s transition to a producer of the documentary of the century. The documentary will identify the Truth about the Autism Spectrum beginning with the High end and travel through the spectrum as most have seen the lower functioning. However, they do we even understand it?  Alex does not plan on giving up his sports passion and his dream to someday work for major league baseball, specifically the Cleveland Indians, or to continue his vocal music career and performing with the BackStreet Boys someday, but he is on a mission to bring awareness to make the pathway smoother for those that follow behind him.  He believes that everyone should have an opportunity to use their unique abilities!

Alex has bestowed his blessings upon me to manage the newclevelandradio.net when he is not available, however even as his mother, I am now responsible to him.  It is with great respect to my son that I will take this journey and encourage both him and you the listeners and potential hosts and sponsors to join us as we achieve our dreams together.

9/17/17 Today is CLEVELAND BROWNS DAY – I have a dream…

And that’s just in the sports scene!

I’ve been contemplating many things recently and wondering whether they are worth sharing or kept private.  However, blogging is an opportunity to share those thoughts and feelings that stir up those feelings that often create internal damage that often can be avoided if we can find the way to release them.  Ignoring them is never the answer because of the nursery rhyme “Sticks and Stones,” is not as true as the words may state, words or thoughts can and will hurt us and even destroy us unless we release them.

My momma taught me to be honest without hurting others along the way.  Her favorite saying was, “Don’t hang out your dirty laundry for others to see.”  However, she warned me, and my brothers, to never let others take advantage of our friendliness or compassion to help.  There is always someone that attempts to take advantage of my generosity and my compassion turning the tables on me.  This time I refuse to feel guilty or accept blame for their lack of responsibility.

To some, my unpaid position at newclevelandradio.net may appear to be trivial and not much of a job.  In fact, there are some who have had no respect for my time and feel that they may contact me 24/7 as if this is a hobby that I am playing at.  I am not playing; I am Alex’s right hand as he grows newclevelandradio.net, LLC.  Part of this business includes The Mediocre Gamers Show on YouTube as well as the documentary series he is going into production with this month.  The more involved Alex is on these other projects he has placed the daily newclevelandradio.net responsibilities on me, which I have taken on.  This is now a full time plus position, and it is taken seriously to help not only Alex’s business plan grow but each show, show host, and sponsor.  The program of activities for ‘newcle’ is not about today but taking this business into the future, but it cannot be completed alone, without the support of our shows, future shows, sponsors and prospective sponsors, this will not happen.

I have chosen to write this and put this out publicly and ask for your respect and support.  We (I) don’t ask much of anyone associated with the radio station except for direct communication.  Communication is what newclevelandadio.net is centered on, providing our listeners what they deserve to hear not what the Big Brother Corporations are dictating terrestrial radio demands to be broadcasted.  We offered choices, and we are giving you a choice to be a broadcaster, options the terrestrial stations would never consider.

However, Alex nor I or the those following the basic standards we have set can continue to grow if we have show hosts who are not sharing and caring their load of the programming, networking and supporting of the other hosts.  So today I ask… Please Communicate… Make 2 Day the Day We Grow 2 Gether.
